Former Angels Pitcher Signs MiLB Deal With NL Team

Tyler has had trouble seeing a major league field since making his major league debut with the Halos in 2021. With the Halos, he pitched in five games and recorded a 2.92 ERA, six strikeouts and a 1.14 WHIP, while allowing eight hits and four runs in 12.1 innings pitched. 

After that, the Halos DFA'd him in March of 2022, and he was later picked up off waivers by the San Diego Padres a month later. He bounced to the San Francisco Giants in July of 2022, was released less than a month later, and joined the Mariners on a minor league deal in February of 2023. 

Now, Tyler is heading to the Marlins on a minor league deal, where we'll hope to make a longer term home.

Tyler is still only 26 years old, and we wish him the best in his next journey with the Marlins.
