Joey Chestnut in the Yard!

HELLO ALL!!! I am happy to be blogging on Yardbarker. This is the first sports website to list eating as a sport. Even I hesitate to call it a sport (haha). Along with my goofy eating friend Pat Bertoletti, I will keep the Yard informed of upcoming events, my training, and the lifestyle of the best eater in the world. By blogging, I hope to clear up a couple misconceptions about Competitive Eating and expose everybody to the crazy world of Competitive Eating. I am looking forward to the everybody in the Yard helping me find new challenges and new ways to improve my ability.

Joey you are my hero!

joey chestnut, a true beast...

Damn right eating is a sport.

How did you get into eating competitively? Natural metabolism or was it something you decided you wanted to work at?

welcome to the yard! eating is definitely one of my favorite activities too, good to hear it's a sport now.

Eatting is a blessing that many of us take for granted. For those of us who eat excessively and even are wasteful with food, let us remember to give to others who are less fortunate and who may be hungry.

Welcome to the yard and good luck on Saturday!

King of the Wing Bowl in Philly. Can't touch him

if you break a sweat while doing something then its a sport...hence eating is a sport haha

1. I feel that belt would be better if it itself was edible.
2. 8 seconds into that video, there's a trophy that has 'P'zone' written on it? Did you win a P'Zone eating contest?
3. Is there anything you refuse to eat competitively? I've seen where people hold the record for eating the most mayonnaise or butter and I can't even finish typing this sentence without gagging.

JC - Wonderful to have you in the yard. This is a personal honor for us. As you are probably well aware, you were named HuggingHaroldReynolds.com's 2007 Sportsman of the Year.
