Dwight Howard sued for child support

If the man is acknowledging that he is the father, don't you think that the responsibilities with that will follow as well? I'm not saying every parent, just Howard's situation. So then why sue if he is going to fulfill the obligation? He has a career to take care of all his responsibilities. Question is does she still have a job to full fill the same? It doesn't matter if he is a millionaire or is saying ''Paper or Plastic?'' Both parents need to honor the commitment in raising the child from all angles.

I find it hard to believe that it's not about the money when it has everything to do with the money. The man just signed an $80 milliion dollar contract.....Uh Hello!! Right....she could have handled this privately instead of going public with the situation. Sometimes it's not what we do, but how we do it! I'm sure there was love between the two but at the end of the day she is looking at what she can financially gain in the relationship and having his child just seals the deal!!

It is definitely about the money. If it was love, they would work it out between them. No courts necessary. He has acknowledged he was the father and I imagine offered support. By taking him to court, she is trying to guarantee the max amount of money.

how can you say she's in it for the money? every responsible single mother ought to file for support regardless of who the father is. what kind of assumption are you making here?

she filed a paternity suit, when the man has came out and not only said that he was having a child but that he was having it out of wedlock and that he was the father. I can tell you from experience that when that happens its always about the money and that family courts look down on this action, if he were to have a custody battle with her, her chances diminishes due to this.

Why even let it get to this point if you're Howard? Short of her trying to extort him, hammer out something that's equitable for both parties. And then if they're still at an impasse, seek the intervention of the courts.

It changes nothing. Last time i check (again if you are an Atheist or have questions about a ''Higher Being'' don't get offended) The man is human. Adam and Eve made the mistake to disobey God and take away Eternal Life and being perfect. Ok this ends the ''Sunday School'' portion of the blog. Anyhow, as with everything as far as Howard lives his life, that's on him. Christian or not you are still imperfect, However he is being more than responsible by accepting to take care of the child's financial necessities. Now if he wants be a Dad to him, that' something both he and the young lady need to discuss.... Behind close doors, Cameras off, no script.... Well, you get the idea.

Well it's kinda of sad she had to sue, Dwight is a true man and will take care of his responsibilities. He says he doesn't want to be an absenttee father, and I believe he'll do right by his son.
