TO staying put?

It's a contract year for Terrell Owens, so it's time to start burning bridges right? Surprisingly no! Owens has come out and said he wants to stay with the Dallas Cowboys till its time to retire. What's made this guy so happy, that he's willing to finally stay put in one place happily?

he is probably just happy with 1000+ yards every season.

yea, playmaker gets his stats, and jerry pays him he's good

he's somewhere in which he is finally appreciated and gets paid...hope jerry gets him one more solid contract

He wanted to redo his contract i philly, with which he was already being paid handsomely. You guys are just giving him a new one when his current contract ends.

Just give the man time. Let's see what he pulls when PacMan is getting more face time than him.

You know, it isn't just the Philly fans that don't get it. Donovan McNabb is a jerk. I grew up and went to school just a few miles away from him and I am still friends with a couple of his offensive lineman from highschool. They all hated him then and they hate him now. T.O. would have stayed happy in Philly if he had gotten some respect from his quarterback but Donovan is all about Donovan. He always has been. That is not a defense of T.O.'s actions, but way too many of you out there forget that there were two people involved in that whole ordeal from the start. I mean you say that T.O. is all about his stats and money. He was certainly getting his stats with the Eagles and he had a good contract so could it possibly be that he didn't get the respect he was looking for? That is the biggest difference I see in his situation. Here in Dallas he has gotten that respect. Time will tell here, too. Let's just wait and see what his next contract looks like and how it works itself out.

Maybe TO has learned a lesson that to get respect you must give respect. But for his time in SF and Philly his idea of getting respect was to have his ass kissed and be put in the center of the universe. Unfortunately for him he was dealing with two grown men who had egos of their own.Heaven forbid Romo starts to falter or PacMan becomes the shiniest Dallas Star. Let's see how TO would handle that.

You are correct about that. I don't want to defend his actions he clearly made some big mistakes of his own. It is also possible that T.O. has learned a lesson from the troubles in Philly but I think it is more about his need to be a/the star. In Dallas he has that.

And for the fans, I hope it stays that way. May you NEVER experience the BS TO controversy that us Eagles fans have. It was exhausting. I still haven't forgiven him...lol.
