Ryan Whitney of the Pittsburgh Penguins came out and made a statement last night to the Ottawa Senators, don't touch their captain. In the 2nd period, Senators defensemen Wade Redden tried to get under Sidney Crosby's skin and got into a little scuffle with him by the Ottawa net. Whitney didn't like this, so he stepped in, dropped the gloves with Redden and Whitney proceeded to thump Redden to the ice and sent a clear message to everyone. The Sen's will have a tough time doing anything against one the 3 teams they knocked out of the playoffs only a season ago. This is a more mature Penguin lineup and they showed it by dominating every facet of this game and look to do the same all series.
