Flyers are ready, so Bring it on !
Let me first start off by saying, Yes I am born and raised in Philadelphia, but NO I do not drink the kool-aid, but you might think so after this article.
I went to bed last night a happy man. For the second night in 3 nights I went to bed dreaming of pucks hitting the twine, and Punks hitting between the lines...wait, did I say Punks? Oh that right, we are now being refered to as punks, according to the Washington Post reporter Mike "not so" Wise, the Flyers are a bunch of punks. I advise all of Philadelphia to read the article in the Washington Post, because at the end of it, you will be irate. I want to settle several things that are really starting to piss me off, and to start to do the up hill climb, that will be a HUGE struggle, that is I want to show the nation that Philadelphia is not all full of "women and children looked as if they could work security for Megadeth." Come on, seriously? Is that all you have? To attack our women and children? We at least our city was not, nor ever was run by a mayor who smoked crack with a crack whore. Ok, see now I am slipping down to your level Mike Wise, and that not who I am. We have faced an up hill battle this entire series, as it has become more apparent as the series moves on that the NHL and Referees would like nothing more than to see you guys win. They wanted you to face Pittsburg in the first round. That was well evident after that bullshit penalty calls that last game of the regular season. I also would love to point out a stat that you posted in your article, the Crapital are now 2 for 15 in power-play opportunities, a mere 13.3 percent. You're getting the calls you need to help you out, your just a team that is not as deep, or as good as the Flyers. One man does not make the team. I loved seeing the CAPS put 5 forwards out there last night...NO GOALS!!! BRING IT, we are ready. Is our motto "Vengeance Now" ok, maybe it is, but realize this team was last in the division last year and now we are up 2-1 against your beloved Ovie. You can draft a star, but there is more to the game, and there is too much weight to put it on the shoulders of a 20 something year old child, who in an act of frustration took a dive. Watch the game again; see how many calls were missed that the Flyers could have been put on a power play. I am not crying foul, trust me, we are the BROAD STREET Bullies, and we know, you give out licks, you take licks. The only difference is that we take the shots that count, while being 5 on 5. We finish our checks, and we are going to finish your Czech. We will hit you, follow through, and remind the rest of the NHL, what hockey is all about. Bring your speed, bring your #1 pick, we are here waiting and ready to show everyone that all the glitz and glamour of the regular season, mean shit when it comes to playoffs, no matter what happens in this town win or loose, we do not place the blame on the other team, or their woman and children. We blame the player, we hold them accountable, we are tough town to play for, and there is a history of people who leave because they can't stand the heat. We do not write articles 3 games into the series complaining about the play of others, we make the changes necessary to win, use the big guys you have, like Donald Brashear, he's ok, but we dumped him for Cote, his "wild-man eyes and his quick fists are the only features shown of the Flyers' player." I love it!! BRING IT ON !
