Tim Sylvia Talks Kimbo

For once, I agree with Tim. a lot of people don't give Tim the credit he deserves. In a way he fights like Machida, tactical and plays his strengths (not steroids). but people don't like that style and thats why he's given a bad wrap although being a champ for such a long time.

Pretty much agree with Tim. Want to add that I TOTALLY think that Kimbo is not on the same level as so many very skilled fighters in MMA. Sorry Kimbo but....

i agree that kimbo is a potentially negative influence, but just bc kimbo made it as an internet sensation doens't mean that everyone else is gonna try it. people post street fights on you tube all the time.

i also agree that kimbo kind of got the fast track to center stage and didn't really pay his dues or work his way up through the ranks, but at the same time, this is a sport that is just beginning to pick up steam and become popular with mainstream america. the average teenager/young adult who is beginning to take an interest in MMA most likely has no idea who 90% of MMA stars are, but it's a safe bet to say that they are familiar with kimbo. i personally think that his notoriety will get more people to watch the sport, and thus be exposed to all of the other fighters, and the more intricate elements of the sport. kimbo's internet videos were entertaining. i see no problem with using his circus act to get more viewers for the sport.

So, there's a potential negative influence, but you agree with that type of circus act? So, you're saying you agree with negative influences as long as they get more viewers? Don't argue it because I am stating what you said word for word. You're a good person.

What! 26! have watched Kimbos you tube vidoes, what do you mean he never payed his dues. he came from the streets fighting in back yard brawls for pennies and respect, he doest cry about how hard of a life and he deserves this and that. he is a true fighter that has a natural talent, not saying hes the best around, but you should revaluate that he is a true street fighter trying to make it...

dana white is a hater and wants to be more famous than the real fighters i'm tired of seeing his face and one good right hand can end anybodys night no matter there skill level or who they fight for and tim needs to shut his boring ass up no ticket sellin jealous clown
