Can't we all just get along?

I'll describe myself as a moderate, I'm leaning towards Obama this November, but please people, this protesting during John McCain's speech was terrible. The Iraq vet had a lot of balls, frankly, because McCain was in a cell for 5 years. This has got to stop, for both parties. I'm all for the mass protests, marching through streets, because I think it takes a group of people to make knowledge of a situation. Yet all it takes is one moron to make a fool of himself, especially when you know you'll get grabbed, pulled, and arrested out of the convention hall; not to mention being drowned out with the chants of "USA! USA! USA!". If you want to make a point, do what the guy did at WGN in the 1980's, hijack a TV signal. Make a huge march on Washington. Protesting at a speech didn't work when George Bush ran for re-election in 2004, he'll more likely than not finish out his second term before facing any possible impeachment hearings. Why would it work now? On the flip side, I watched the great reporting ABC's Brian Ross did about the lobbyists, and their parties. Completely pitiful. The producer getting arrested for trespassing on a public sidewalk in Denver. Emphasize the word "public". The Republicans partying on the same day when Louisiana is getting slammed by Gustav. Terrible. Barack Obama is promising reform yet he has a slew of lobbyists for his campaign. John McCain's campaign is no different. How can Joe Biden bring reform when he's essentially been in Washington since Ford? How can Sarah Palin take on Big Oil when her husband works for BP? Some things never change. Mudslinging is nothing new, but this guerrilla type of protesting is total bs. Take a hint from the 1999 WTO meetings, the so called "Battle in Seattle". Get a life people. Exercise free speech in a productive way. This is politics, if you like the person, vote for them. If you don't, vote for the other person, or vote for a cause. Just don't show up and whine without thinking that you can't change America in better ways.

" things that I observed in both national conventions 1) The DNC was more diverse the RNC 2) The RNC looked like a Nazi Convention-->with the rampant USA chants and fist raising shouts 3) People are crying when they were their...Am I the only one who finds that sad and funny. Who actually thinks these so called politicians are keeping their word. This isnt the George Washington time where people actually trusted the government. even with that what does crying do in this situation. 4) How many thank youse do these polticians have to make, Barack Obama honestly said thank you more than Rudy Giuliani has said 9/11 and Islamic terrorists in the past year. 5) Barack Obama reminds me of the Rock..do you smell what barack is cookn 6) Joseph Lieberman== why politicians shouldnt be trusted. 06 for Obama, 08 for McCain and hes saying Country First, that Country is Israel FYI 7) Sarah Palin as beautful as she is, does not deserve to be VP for the repubs. Huckaboo, Romdew, Yea she governs the largest state in US but population wise the 47th largest. Thats really something to proud of and the people at the convention are so dumb they actually believe alaska has the most people in the country. 8) Fred Thompson speech was written by Steven Spielberg. 9) Joe Biden is full of it...His stupid chant was beyond dumb 10) that 9/11 video in the RNC was so unnecessary. I dont need to be reminded of how the US government killed its own people. As well why is the RNC always campaigning on fear. Its like these republicans are scared, hiding in their bomb shelters each night damn....Live Life what the Fu((. 	You are very wise BookerT. These are the kinds of hypocrisies that make me very sad and unpatriotic when I think of this country in general terms. ( careful with the GW references though. the original colonists were wealthy businessmen and aristocrats. they wanted to "escape" England in order to freely exploit their own initiatives which were mainly about amassing personal fortunes. [see, "slavery"] remember, it only took a few decades to brew a festering resentment of the federal govt. large enough to cause the Civil War. Which again, was mainly about resources,profits,and land rights. So you see, nothing has really changed since the days of George Washington. This country has always been this way.)

	I'll agree with you on everything except the 9/11 conspiracy theory. That was al-Qaeda bro. bin Laden hated us because we were based in Saudi Arabia during the first Gulf War. But that's neither here nor there.

	suit yourself on the last one, theirs multiple stories to bin lotto is just another tool of america, the govt uses him as a scapegoat for everything. As someone who speaks his native language among many others, if I were given his videotapes or to any person who speaks that language I guarentee what the american media makes of it is BS all over....His videos are the only videos on TV in a different language that is never played so that we can hear it in the native language..As in when he speaks the volume is down that you could barely hear him and usually the reporter says the translated version via the US government..... If it was some Spanish dude speaking or French their would be a translator right there telling us and you would hear the Spanish or French speaker speaking in their native language with volume up and not down like Bin Lotto... Whats also funny is we spend trillions of dollars on defense and the army and we cant find one person....How hard is it to find one human being especialyl finding Saddam with ease.....That beats me,.... thanks booger, a bit off i agree....haha as someone whose taking physics and knows the concepts well...its pretty hard to imagine WTC 7 just fall without any force hit onto it, or seeing the pentagon geting hit by a plane with no plane in sight....this isnt conspiracy, this is just observations......but i dont want to go in details, our gov;t f'd everything up.....
