LIST: Yardbarker's top 5 from the red carpet at the ESPYs

  Sam Cassell loses his mind Sam Cassell lost his ticket, and they wouldn't let him in the ESPYs to walk the red carpet. Maybe they were just bitter because the event was taking place in the shadow of the Staples Center, but how can you not recognize Sam Cassell? Cut the guy a break, right? Well, according to my friend who was there when the incident occurred, a very frustrated Sam was congratulated by a fan for the Celtics recent championship, and when the fan walked away, Sam grumbled something to the effect of "Suck me." I may not be getting all of the details entirely right. Hopefully she'll chime in with the first-hand account.

  Ovie at the ESPYs Stay tuned for the footage, but Ovie Mughelli (Atlanta Falcons FB) worked the red carpet for the Yard during Wednesday's visit to the ESPYs. He had a great time interviewing athletes and celebrities, and some of his friends (i.e. other football players) had a good time picking on Ovie. It was cool to see players interviewing each other. Ovie did a great job; we are proud he represented the Yard so well, and we feel fortunate he was willing to take time out of his schedule to go hard for the Yard. Hopefully he'll join us again next year. The show airs Sunday night, and Ovie is a favorite to win "Best Performance by an Atlanta Falcons fullback named Ovie."

• 3	Jared from Subway I have no idea why this guy was on the red carpet. But he was there. You play sports to lose weight, but since when is losing weight a sport?

• 4	Matt Leinart Bloggers love picking on Matt Leinart, but he seemed like a really cool guy, and on Sunday or Monday we'll post his interview with Ovie.

• 5	Bob Sanders Sanders is a beast on the field and a funnyman off the field. I'd love to get that guy in the Yard.
