'Heels stomped by Jayhawks; questions abound for next year

Rock. Shock. Jayhawk. Roy, you're definitely not in Kansas anymore. Kansas opened up a 40-12 lead on tourney favorite North Carolina in the first half, using a dizzying display of efficient offense and stellar defense and cruised to an easy 84-66 victory to advance to Monday's National Championship and a date with Memphis.

Hansbrough and Lawson both go, everyone's happy, UNC probably still wins the conference next year.

UNC cost me $20... Kind of pissed about that...

I hear u on that, I was in the Dean Dome watching the game...nice to finally get inside the arena but not the game I was expecting..did spent lots of $$$ on new gear on campus

I think Kansas wanted to remind Roy Williams why he should have stayed at KS.

never saw a final four blitz like that, 40-12 run to start game, wow...Kansas full of specimens...rebuilding year next for UNC...or the old ACC elite program restock is what it really is...Hansborough looked like a marginal future NBA player last night...was a huge surprise watching that...sick game tomorrow night

Should be a barnbuner tomorrow, for sure. Lot's of athletic talent and should be an track meet. I didn't get to watch much of either game, but I guess I didn't miss much.

for sure, you didn't miss anything Five...should have skipped semis and just went to the game...two best teams by quite a bit

Seriously, Kansas murdered UNC

Nobody is leaving UNC except for the seniors! Lawson's stock has dropped due to his poor play in the KU game and desperately needs another year to work on his jump shoot, not to mention he will be diminutive by NBA standards (He's projected to be a mid to late first rounder). Tyler has said all along that he wants to stay all four years (He's projected to be a late first rounder). Ellington is projected as a mid 2nd rounder and needs another year to develop consistency with his long range jumper, and major help with his driving ability. With the class that UNC has coming in next year (Drew, Davis, and Zeller; all McDonalds All Americans) this team will be hands down the favorite to win the national championship. AS far as the game goes last night I blame Roy Williams. His lack of using time outs when Kansas went on BOTH of their runs was unacceptable. UNC needed a time out more than any team I have ever seen in the 15 minutes. They were shocked and needed time to regroup. Roy Williams is notorious for doing this and he needs to change his approach to the game in terms of using time outs. He is singlehandedly responsible for this loss. I'm not taking anything away from Kansas; they played with determination and certainly deserved it more.

I agree with you on a lot of what you said, but you can't just blame the coach and not the players. Yes, Roy didn't have the team ready, but you can't put it all on him. Nobody on UNC played that well, and it contributed in them getting raped

It is interesting that you mention the timeouts. I was surprised Roy didn't call at least one TO during that 18-point flurry KU went on. In the second half, Bill Self used his timeouts as Carolina cut the lead to four. After the last one, the Jayhawks certainly seemed to settle down. I am excited about tomorrow's match-up, however, even though the 'Heels lost.

So nice to see.

It was nice to see Williams in the stands cheering a real (hack a shack) winner tonight! What? Does he want his job back? What an insult to his team North Carolina? He has no business showing up his team and cheering for a fortunate National Champion. Memphis will never live this one down!

It was a great game. Memphis resorted to hacking in OT, but KS was able to handle the pressure and hit the free throws. Just enjoy the fact that it was a great game, man.

It was a great game! But what about Williams?

Well, if Williams wants to root for a team, so be it. I think wearing the T-shirt may have been a little overboard though, especially when KS was the team that wiped out his Tarheels.

There you go!!! Now, your talkin. How about a little loyalty. That emblem must have sickened Hansborough. NBA Hansborough?

Probably won't make any difference in Hansbrough's decision, but still not something that was good for the university and the team to see. The guy did coach there for many years and has a lot of ties there.

i'd fire his A>>>>>>if i was the A.D.

Haha......I don't think that will happen. The guy has a couple of titles, so he's not going anywhere unless he dies.
