We Know they can play football at USC, but the baseketball program is turning around. The Trojans faced off with Witicha State Saturday night in the Las Vegas Classic, and pulled off one of the major upsets of the year.
Riding the coat-tails of junior Nick Young, who Coach Tim Floyd didnt start to prove a point, USC put up just enough points to beat the Shockers 60-56, giving Witicha its second straight loss.
Young hit 12 0f 15 on his way to 26 points in 27 minutes.
Once again we see a top rated team play someone from the west, and get the beat-down. USC does not have any votes in either of the major polls, but still shocks the Shockers.
I can't wait for the PAC-10 tourney this year...
