On senior night, DeMarcus Nelson and the Blue Devils came out flat and North Carolina took advantage.
The Tar Heels win the ACC regular season title, and they did it by forcing Duke to become a perimeter shooting team, instead of a three point shooting team, for most of the game. Duke then turned the ball over 10 times, which led to Carolina fast-break points.
UNC built a double-digit lead early, and Duke, with one exception, couldn't get anything to drop. That one exception was junior Greg Paulus, who hit three quick threes to help the Devils close the gap to 11 to end the first half.
Whatever Coach K said in the locker room helped Duke come out swinging, as they fought back and eventually took the lead. Duke was able to finally hit some key jumpers and get some second chance points.
