On April 10th, West Virginia Mountaineers guard Kedrian Johnson announced that he will enter the 2023 NBA Draft.
“After discussing my options with my family and coaches, I have decided to enter my name in the 2023 NBA Draft,” he wrote in a statement.
Johnson began his college career at St. Peter’s. He redshirted his freshman season, then transferred to Temple College (TX). In 2019-20, he averaged 25.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.4 assists.
In 2020, he transferred to West Virginia, where he spent the last three seasons. Last season, Johnson averaged 11.7 points, 3.1 assists, and 1.8 steals. He shot 41.1 percent from the field and 30.9 percent from three-point range.
In the NCAA Tournament, he led the Mountaineers in the first round against Maryland with a game-high 27 points (8-13 FG, 4-8 3PT, 7-7 FT).
The last WVU basketball player to be drafted was Miles McBride in 2021.
