What Former Illinois Basketball Guard Trent Frazier is Up To

Illinois basketball is successfully back on the national stage. Brad Underwood has had five straight 20-win seasons and five straight NCAA tournament berths. In that time span, they have consistently remained at the top of the Big Ten Conference and have won the Big Ten tournament twice. In addition, Underwood has comprised an elite assistant coaching staff and continues to pull in talented pieces to sustain success. On top of that, AD Josh Whitman has fully backed Coach Underwood and has Illinois competing with the top programs in terms of NIL.

However, that success is not here without a foundation built. Players like Trent Frazier were absolutely key to bringing Illinois back. Since graduating in 2022, what has the former Illinois Basketball guard been up to?

Since Graduation:

After finishing his career at Illinois, Frazier signed a deal with FMP Meridian of the Serbian basketball league. Per Proballers.com, Frazier averaged over 20 points and 6 assists in 16 games. Afterward, Trent joined the VTB league in Russia to play for Zenit St. Petersburg. The league is talented and has players like Juwan Morgan and Xavier Rathan-Mayes.

Frazier is averaging 14.5 points and 4 assists for a team that is tied for first in the league. As always, Trent continues to be a part of winning teams and winning programs. He will have a strong career overseas, however, we hope that he can be seen in the NBA summer league like some of his fellow former Illinois basketball players.
