The 1/1 Uconn Women's Basketball team has been struggling the last two games to keep their title but have managed to keep their position as #1 being undefeated. But can they do it without senior starter captain Mel Thomas?
Last night (Tuesday January 15th) Uconn faced Syracuse.... and it was their worst game of the season but still managed to win by only 6 points. But the biggest scare of the night was that at about 1 1/2 minutes left in the game Mel Thomas who had played the whole game and led Uconn with 15 points went flying and hurt her right knee as she came up slowly nearly sobbing she was limping very badly and solomley off the court.
No reports have come back on her MRI that she supposidly got this morning.
The question is... Will Mel Be able to play the rest of the season? and. Will the Huskies be able to keep their #1 position or will they fall down dramatically?
