70 Division I football, basketball programs lose scholarships

The NCAA announced Tuesday that 17 football programs and 53 basketball programs will lose some of their scholarships due to athletes' poor academic performance...and that's just Division I. A total of 213 teams from 123 schools will be sanctioned by the NCAA. Some schools could lose as much as 10 percent of their scholarships.

Orange Bowl champion Kansas was among many schools sanctioned by the NCAA...

i think this good, the players are STUDENT-Athletes, not the other way around. this is going to kill these schools in there recruiting process.

It will certainly hurt KS because they just got their program into the elite status. Too bad.
