Buckeyes Smash Bowling Green 35-7

Ohio State rolled to an easy victory, out-scoring the Falcons 21-0 in the first half. Troy Smith had another efficient performance going 17/20 for 191 yards and 3 touchdowns. Pittman saw limited play as he rushed only 13 times for 61 yards, but recorded two touchdowns. Receiver Ted Ginn caught a career-high 10 passes for 122 yards.

The win came at a cost for the Buckeyes. Right tackle Kirk Barton went down with a sprained ankle, and defensive tackle David Patterson had an undisclosed injury to his right leg. Patterson is an incredibly important component of the OSU D, and his loss could prove crippling. The Buckeyes have started a stretch where they play teams that they should undoubtedly beat. But, if the injuries prove perisistent, will the success last?
