Tommy Tuberville is Arkansas new head coach? video

Watch the video from an Arkansas TV station, and judge for youeself. There are plenty of reasons for him to go, unlike the Texas A and M job.

Did he not just get an extension?? Good try though..

shows how much you know....tommy didn't ever sign anything and dont guess he is in a real big hurry to seeing how he is hunting in the natural state this week. GO HOGS

Shows how much I know? This is a video. I am just repeeting what the video said. And he did not sign his extension yet. Watch the video it explains the whole thing. It might not be true, but the video was on Arkansas TV.

I would trade TT for Nutt any day, and just what the hell is wrong with Auburn, the guy just beat Bama for the 6th straight time, give him what he wants.

I would rather have a freaking 12 year old coach that has never played football rather than nutt. TT is a huge gain if we were to get him.

ethanator: I think gohogs121 was responding to theoneandonly

I get it now. Thanks for the corection about gohogs121, gohogs581. :-)

gohogs581 is an idiot. TT is a gain if we get him, but give it a break on the nutt hating, he is only the second winningest coach in Hog History. and if you have not had fun over the past 10 years, you dont have a heart beat.

We Auburn fans hope you don't get TT, we want him to stay here WAR EAGLE

Tubs just signed an extension with Auburn yesterday. You're a day late and a dollar short my friend.

There are a lot of solid stories that TT is really pissed at the AD about how this has gone and that it is a possibility that he will move. One wild rumor is that he'll wait to see what Les Miles does and TT may jump to LSU. Neither is that unlikely since TT jumped from Ole Miss to Auburn without thinking twice and he is still bitter about the whole Bobby Petrino fiasco.

Thank you shadymarsh, I knew I was right, but gohogs121 had to try and be a know it all and give a hog fan a bad name...

Not true. He has agreed in principle to an extension. He has not, however, inked the deal.

"Tuberville's name had been mentioned prominently in various reports over the past several weeks as a possible successor to Dennis Franchione at Texas A&M, but he indicated last week he planned to remain at Auburn."

Unless his name is Nick Saban, he's not going anywhere

Like when he told Ole Miss that he planned on staying there as long as they would have him, then one week later he left to go to AU???

What would he say other than he is going to stay? Have you ever heard a coach say, "I'm looking for a better job, but if I don't find one, I'm gonna stay here." No, you haven't. Any coach is going to indicate that he is staying in his current job until he has a new job.

No, there's not a coach out there retarded enough to make a statement like that. However, have you ever heard Les Miles absolutely deny he was going to Michigan or absolutely guarantee he was staying at LSU, no, he ducks and dodges the question every time. I'm just saying most head coaches are smart enough that if they're not going to stay somewhere they don't come right out in a press conference and say "my plan is to be here next year." Only Nick "satan" is dumb enough to do that..... twice.

Love the Nick Satan tag. Brilliant! I agree that Miles is riding the fence. I think that the key in Tub's statement is that he "plans" to stay at Auburn. Not as difinitive as some would like it to be... He didn't say, "I am an Auburn Tiger, I'm not going anywhere." "Plans" can certainly change.

Am I splitting hairs, maybe...but having been in the business myself, I know that sometimes the wording used makes all the difference.

Tubberville is your new head coach.

Tubberville is the new Arkansas head coach. They will announce it today.

Tuberville has a $5 million buy-out and you can thank Arkansas most well known grad for paying for it.

Can you link to any proof that Jones payed the buyout?

So its for sure Tuberville is the new head coach??? THat is awesome.

Didn't want to be quoted, huh? Hmmm...wonder why?

anymore news???

They are reporting on the local radio stations in arkansas that Tub is staying in Auburn..but who knows.
