Your Early Hiesman Leader: Colt Brennan Returns to Hawaii

Well, I would put McFadden, Ray Rice from Rutgers, Brian Brohm from Louisville, Steve Slaton and Pat White from West Virginia, John David Booty from USC, and Colt McCoy from Texas ahead of Brennan as well. His stats have to be mind blowing because he is playing subpar competition in the WAC. Heisman voters have always taken the ridiculous numbers put up in Hawaii's run and shoot with a grain of salt. Being 24 years old (on August 16th) and a rapist won't help his cause either.

It will be hard to be Heismann playing at Hawaii. But he is gonna tear through next season and put up even more rediculous numbers.

the Heisman loves QBs and eventually one of these players from the little guys will win it. Its only a matter of time.

colt brennan has done everything posible to be the front runner for hiesman. for one,the system has nothing to do with it.if i recall if you do throw 60-70 times a game,that means your running game is not there.So,to me thats an acoplishment in it'self.If you can put those numbers up in the air,with all of that pressure coming at you,with only five at best six guys blocking for you;and finnally they know your passing,thats something special.I also give credit to june jones and staff for having a great game plan for colt and defense that finally works with the talent it has.So in closing give brennan credit for what he dose,and quit using small and bcs confrences as a way to hate on him.
