Football season is finally here, with opening weekend ending on Sunday night when the No. 8 Florida State Seminoles face off against the No. 5 LSU Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on ABC.

The FSU rushing attack has been lethal over the past few seasons and the 'Noles expect to put running backs Trey Benson, Lawrance Toafili, and Caziah Holmes on full display inside World Stadium.

Former FSU running back Treshaun Ward was one of the pieces from last year's three-headed monster and moved on after the 2023 season, electing to transfer to Kansas State. The Wildcats delivered a 45-0 beating against their week one opponent, South East Missouri State, which showcased the talented redshirt junior's skillset, with 12 of those 45 points coming from Ward alone.

Ward had 11 carries for 56 yards and a rushing touchdown, paired with an unusual eight-yard passing touchdown to quarterback Will Howard.

The talented back has come a long way since choosing to walk on at Florida State before working his way to a scholarship.

Last season, he rushed for 675 yards and six touchdowns in 10 games. He finished second on the team behind Benson (990 yards, nine touchdowns) and led the ACC with 6.61 yards per carry.
