KeAndre Lambert-Smith Drawing Significant Transfer Portal Interest

Last week, Penn State Football experienced a significant development when one of their top wide receivers, KeAndre Lambert-Smith, moved to enter the transfer portal. This decision has sparked a lot of interest, and a report on Tuesday night revealed that he is now considering two potential schools.

According to On3.com, Lambert-Smith is deciding between Auburn and Texas A&M, where he will play college football next season.

Both schools could use a guy like Lambert-Smith, but only one of these schools will walk away happy. The other one will be furious because they just don’t lose him, but they also lose him to a team in the SEC that they will have to play.

Auburn could use Lambert-Smith a lot since they are trying to build off a decent first year under new head coach Hugh Freeze. The Tigers had an okay season last year, finishing at 6-7, but there were some games in which they held their opponents very close, like Georgia. They had Alabama until the very end, when they threw a game-winning hail mary pass on them.

Lambert-Smith could be the game-changer the Tigers need to make them win these close games they have played in the last few seasons.

Texas A&M could also use Lambert Smith since they are heading into a new era with new head coach Mike Elko. The Aggies have high hopes that this era will be different than the last few, and Lambert-Smith could come in and set the bar high for the program.

What Losing Lambert Smith Means for Penn State Football

Losing Lambert-Smith was a massive blow for Penn State Football.

But, other players will have to step up, and Ohio State transfer wide receiver Julian Fleming needs to be that player. Fleming was nothing more than a third receiver at Ohio State since he kept getting pushed down the depth chart for guys like Marvin Harrison Jr. and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Still, Fleming is now the guy in Happy Valley, and he needs to show the world why he was one of the highest recruits coming out of high school in 2020.
