With injuries to linebackers Payton Wilson and Isaiah Moore during the 2021 season the Wolfpack needed someone to step up, and Drake Thomas did just that. In his sophomore season, Thomas led NC State in total tackles and tackles for loss, and he was a First-Team All-ACC player.
