The UMBC Retrievers defeated the Vermont Catamounts 8-6 to raise the winning streak to 9 and remain undefeated in conference play. Last week, the Retrievers seized the regular season championship and with it, the right to host the AE conference tournament this coming week. If UMBC wins the conference tournament as projected, I fail to see how they can be denied one of the 8 seeded spots in the NCAA tournament.
