Swimmer enters championships less than a year after a steel bar was inserted into his chest
University of California senior William Copeland enters the swimming and diving championships this weekend as the No. 2 seed in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events. This is less than a year after pediatric physicians opened up his chest and inserted a steel bar. Physicians found that the back of Copeland's backbone was pushing up against his heart to such an extent that his heart was oval-shaped instead of round! Now Copeland is better than ever and looking to make an impact in the championships. Check out the link below for the unbelievable story.
