UNLV appear to have lost another defensive contributor on Thursday. Per On3's Pete Nakos, defensive back Ricky Johnson has entered the transfer portal. The Rebels also lost former four-star recruit defensive end Zavier Carter to UCF and safety Jordyn Morgan to Louisiana Tech this offseason.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have officially announced the hiring of Nick Holz to serve as their passing game coordinator. Nick Holz served as the UNLV Rebels’ co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach during the 2022–2023 season.
On Valentine’s Day, the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels hosted the San Jose Spartans for their 14th conference game of the season. In their first meeting earlier in the season, the Spartans prevailed.
For their eighth conference game of the year, the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels welcomed the Wyoming Cowboys to the Thomas and Mack Arena. Elijah Harkless put on a strong performance, and the Rebels were able to defeat the Cowboys 86-72 to end their losing streak.
