The official Star Wars Twitter account has posted a revealing featurette for Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace.
In just two minutes it manages to cram in rare behind-the-scenes footage, quotes from director George Lucas, and a snippet of Liam Neeson training with a lightsaber which, without special effects, is essentially a big stick.
“I get to do a lot of things I couldn’t do before,” says Lucas in the featurette. “Create things that weren’t possible before.”
It was posted to celebrate the return of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace to cinemas on May 3rd, given the film turns 25 years old on 2024.
In fact, Lucasfilm is rereleasing the entire Skywalker saga on the big screen. Yes, that’s all nine episodic films in chronological order. “Tickets are on sale now,” writes the official Star Wars blog, “and you can visit Fandango.com for more information.”
Timeline-wise, Star Wars series The Acolyte is set 100 years before Phantom Menace.
