Kovalainen fined, but no grid penalty
Stewards fined Heikki Kovalainen 5,000 euros after it was found his car was improperly refueled during qualifying.
"Car 23 was refueled during Q2 using equipment that was not an FIA-approved race refueling system, and therefore the engine should have been stopped during the refueling process," ITV reports the stewards said in their statement. Kovalainen's fine is purely monatary in nature, the Finn's grid position will not be penalized.
