Kyle Harrisons trade and the spread of lax

What I want to know is when Kyle was traded to the Riptide was it for the team or for the reason of spreading lax from coast to coast I would like to hear your views? Because when it comes to what I think a high school lax player I see that the game is spreading around the Usa from Texas (my home state which by the way it has grown tremendously with Kyle, Ryan Boyle and Matt Striebel holding some camps and shooting demos) all the way to California and Arizona so comment and express what you think about the trade and the spread of lax in your community?

Personally, I think some of the time you spend working on lacrosse should be spent on grammar lessons.

As for the trade, well, I really like Kyle Harrison as a player and I wish he didn't need to leave NJ. It is, however, nice to see a western team making big strides in order to get the left coast on the lacrosse map.

Lay off the kid. At least he's got enough confidence to put himself out there.

Cody,
Personally I don't think this trade has anything to do with helping to grow the game in any specific direction. While it's great that lacrosse is catching on so much in the west, the Riptide already have a great pool of players that are a fantastic representatives of the game. DJ Driscoll, Spencer Ford, and a host of former Midshipmen. I think that the Riptide are just hoping to add to their already powerful arsenal.

As far as the Pride's intentions, I don't think that we'll be able to see what they have up their sleeves until the collegiate draft. They've put themselves into a position to have a lot of high draft picks, and with great offensive players like Matt Danowski, Ben Rubeor and Paul Rabil available in the top slots, perhaps they are looking to get two or more for the cost of one. And while Brett Hughes has established himself as one of the premier emerging defensemen in the MLL, having a Dan Cocoziello or Tony McDevitt ready to slide into his stop into that vacancy, just about anyone will say that you're not losing much if any ground.

Did the Pride make a good decision trading two of the most talented players in lacrosse for a bag full of possibilities? The answer to that is obviously . . . . maybe. Looks like we'll see how big the bag was come summer.

For every east coast transplant that played highly competitive college lacrosse only to become a "ringer" for some club team on the West Coast, there's another guy (or gal) who made it over to California and actually put lots of time and effort into spreading lacrosse to more and more kids out here. Having someone like Kyle with such a giving and open personality can only help that much more.
It's just too bad Sacramento doesn't have a bigger following...
