Transition time
Hey guys, I hope all has been strong in the Yard!! My time has been busy over the last month or so, dealing with our early NLL exit, as well as travelling home to Ontario, Canada and getting geared up for the summer. Over last three weeks, I have travelled back home with the family and continued to train in preparation for what seems to be a very busy summer of lax!! I will be playing in Brampton in the OLA Major Series (indoor lax) and competing there for the Mann Cup, as well as playing in the MLL with the Rochester Rattlers. Both seasons, continue over the course of the summer and do conflict sometimes, but I look forward to playing a full MLL season and as many as 13 games in the OLA. It should make for a busy summer, but what else would you rather be doing??? Both teams will be very competitive, as both teams are loaded with talent!! In Rochester, we have a very Canadian feel with the likes of John Grant, Gavin Prout, Jeff Zywicki, Brodie Merril, Jordan Hall. We also boast some of the best American field studs in Jack Ried, Casey Powell and Joe Walters....along with many other big time players. On paper this team is AWESOME!!! We will have to put things together to avoid another heartbreaking loss like last year in the semi finals!!! I'll keep you posted on our progress as we move along. In Brampton, it is alot of the same....On paper we are loaded with talent, but so are many other teams. Dan Dawson, Josh Sanderson, Dan Teat, Aaron WIlson, Blaine Manning, Jeff Shattler, the Merrill brothers....I could go on all day. We are stacked, but again will have to jell as a team to over come the dreaded speed bump that Peterborough has presented the past few years!!! It looks to be a great summer with Akwasasne, Six Nations putting strong teams together as well. I will stay in touch over the course of the summer to keep you all posted on our progress in both leagues. Keep the chat coming in as well, as I will be more in touch now that I am settled again. For all those Stealth fans in the Bay Area, we definetly don't feel good with how things ended, but we certainly do have something big to build on for next season!!! Until next time, Colin #7
