We Made It!

Yup, we finally made it to California!

It's been a long crazy trip, but it was definitely worth it. We arrived in California Monday morning, and the second I got off the plane, I was rushed out of the airport. I'm not exactly sure what the issue was, but there was some problem and they needed everyone out of the airport ASAP. I grabbed the number to US Airways and hopped in my car and headed to my hotel. My bag was dropped off later in the afternoon, but I'm still not sure what exactly was going down at the airport, but I wasn't trying to hang around and see either.

We're staying at a hotel in down town Hermosa, and we actually got a place a few blocks away that we can move into next Tuesday, so we're pretty fired up. So far it's been incredible man. I've gotten to run and work out by the beach everyday, had some chicken and waffles last night (off the chains), played some pick up basketball down the street, and found a place to live. It's definitely been a productive 2 days here. Other then the jeans that are entirely too tight that dudes out here wear, I've got no issues with this place at all.

It's been pretty busy with trying to find somewhere to live, attempting to stay on top of work and consistently check my e-emails, and trying to organize everything else in my life. I'm not complaining though, I'm figuring it out.

Next week will be a bit busier as I've got to make connections with all of the local lacrosse retailers and start to really get the STX presence going out here. I've also got to move into my new place as well! I can't wait to take a picture from the balcony, got a nice view of the ocean.

Reading Colin Doyle's blog is making me get really excited for the season. It's only about 2 months away and I can't wait to get back out there with my new team. From speaking with all the guys on the team through various team e-mails, I know the rest of the guy's are fired up as well and it's going to be a lot of fun this season.

We were driving around yesterday and we saw a little cliff in PV and Brett didn't think I could toss a lacrosse ball from the cliff to the ocean, so of course we had to stop and give it a shot. I did it, but not by much. It was definitely a little farther then I thought. I'll attach a picture of where we were.

Saw a hilarious video on youtube the other day. Some cat challenged Chris Brown to a dance off in Minnesota in the middle of a basketball game outside. Now I'm not hating on anyone, but that seems to me like the wrong dude to challenge to a dance off, especially in front of other people, and especially when you know there are camera's on. Either way, if you need some quick entertainment be sure to look that up.

That's all I got for now, need to go run around and get my life together.

I'll catch up with you all soon.

Welcome to the Left Coast, Kyle.

Thanks! I appreciate it. It's been a long trip, but I'm happy to be here.

Other then the jeans that are entirely too tight that dudes out here wear. lol
Glad to hear you found a place! sounds like your havin fun

Ha, yeah man, that's my only concern as of now. These jeans cats are wearing don't even look comfortable! But I'm not hating, you just won't see my rolling down the street in those slim jeans.

I'm new to the Yard. Great to see that lacrosse is up in the mix.

Diggin the hop logo! Nice work! Welcome to the Yard!

you should come shoot at mira costa high school in manhattan beach. we have a nice new turf field with goals

yeah? You let me know where it is and I'll come shoot there. I've been looking for a few good fields to run and shoot. Let me know my man.

Glad to hear you're settled in CA, but of course we all wish you were still playing for Hopkins. I went to Face Off Classic the other day; the games were great but it was cold.. And I predicted Rabil would have a hat-trick; four assists too; shaping up to be a good season. I saw Jesse Schwartzman at their home opener against Albany. I think they play UMBC at Homewood tomorrow night; we could use another five goal effort from Huntley. Well my friends and I hope you enjoy California and good luck with the Riptide! Hopefully we'll be able to do some Run n' Gun camps this summer.

I definitely miss my Hop days, those were some of the best days of my life so far! Yeah, Paul is absolutely ridiculous, not much more to say there, the kid is serious. I'm also pumped up to see Huntley off to such a great start, he's a tremendous player and a VERY hard worker. In the game tonight, check out my little cousin from UMBC, number 11. My man has got some shakes!
