BACK TO THE BLOG

I'm back to blogging in the yard....wish I had some good news to talk about but as you may have heard, I am out for a few weeks with a strain in my right triceps...I'm going to do everything I can to get back as soon as possible, but I've got to be a little cautious. The trainers are wanting me to go a little slower than I want to go. I'm going to trust them. They've been here before, and I haven't. I have never missed a start in my professional career. I always want to answer the bell that fifth day but injuries are part of it and this is my first experience with being sidelined for a while. I'll tell you what, we will be fine with whoever fills in the first month for Escobar and I. If it's Moseley, Adenhart or whomever, those guys can handle the situation.

Spring Training has been fun, Torii Hunter has had this clubhouse laughing daily. He is a class act and a true pro. There seems to be something special going on with our lineup. Torii has come out on fire and Gary Matthews and Howie Kendrick have been knocking the ball all over the place. Of course Vlad has been doing his thing and our shortstops have been solid. I really like what I have been seeing out there, this is going to be a fun team to watch. For now, I'm going to do what I have to do to get back and help the team. I am getting anxious to get back home, it seems like forever ago since we arrived in Tempe for Spring Training. Talk to you all later.

Glad your back blogging John! I hope you get better soon as I drafted you for my fantasy baseball team. What do you think of the NCAA tournament so far?

Best wishes John.Hope your back healthy soon!

Sorry to hear about the recent set back. I'm sure you and the trainers will have yourself out there as quickly as possible. With that lineup you guys have your sure to get some aided run support for extra W's.

get well soon john, i also got you on my fantasy team. no guarantees in the west anymore, the mariners are making it too tough, so hopefully tori will help in backin up vlady and garland will be a sold start

Hope you're good to go for the opener in Minny!

should i pick you for my fantasy team?

Just get healthy. Cant wait for you to be dealing for us this year.

No offense but I hope you're still rehabbing for the first series against the Red Sox ;X I want a series sweep and your good pitching might ruin that!

Glad to see ya back, John. You'll be back on the mound in front of a packed stadium before you know it.

Excited to see you back John. I saw you at spring training today running sprints and working out. It means a lot to us fans how devoted you are to doing your best to get back healthy. your the best!

Big John.. Good to see you back. Let me know when you wanna go grab a brewsky in Huntington.

win or lose angels r most entertaining team in BB................big J get back team needs ya

hope you heal fast! it's better to wait and be on the top of your game then go in like that. i'm so happy bball season is back! there was nothing to watch on tv!!! Go angels and (ahem) *softly* red sox...

Hey John - It is great to see you back in the yard.....I sure hope you get better soon. Love to see you pitching, but I agree, better to take it easy and get healthy. I did make it to Tempe and got to see you throw a few in Spring Training in early March with the "AngelsWin" Team - such fun. Take it easy and See you at the Big A.......

John-
I'm pumped for the season. I am glad to hear you have complete trust in the young arms filling Escobar's and your role. Adenhart has been shoving! What is Santana's deal? I don't believe the whole pitching at home at night thing. Ridiculous! He is a ballplayer and I believe that he can perform. Hell, he has in the past. When you and Kelvim get back there is no question about having the best pitching staff (including the bullpen) in the league. If we have to rely on the number 3 starter to start the season as the ace, I like our chances with Weaver! Take your time. We don't want this to happen again!! Hahaha. Go Halos!

Nice to have you blogging again John! Please take care of yourself and allow whatever it takes to get you back 100% We will miss you now, but will need you a helluva lot more down the road. Good luck!

Welcome back to blogging. Hope that you feel better.

I am not glad to see you blogging ... it means you aren't pitching/with your summer family :P

Read today that your recent throwing sessions are ahead of schedule. Hope you guys aren't pressing and that the news is just indicative of how fast you heal!

JL- stumbled across you blog. pretty sweet. hope to see you join other halos and post on angelswin.com.

hey john do you still get to travel with the team , hope you get back in time for kc series in may . Get well soon big john

good luck

I went up to see you guys play in Tempe against the Brewers man... even though you were out I was thinking maybe i'd see you at the field... but you were nowhere to be found.

Good luck with the season though. Hunter/ Matthews Jr. are great additions. Hopefully you'll meet my Reds at the Big Show.

hey man... i went to go see you guys up in Tempe for Spring Training I was hoping you were going to be at the field but you weren't but i enjoyed watching Hunter and Matthews play and Saunders pitch.

but yeah... good luck with the season. hopefully you'll meet up with my Reds in the Big Show. Johnny Cueto! haha.

Lackey take your time in coming back. My A's need all the help they can get before you resurface and destroy us.

yay!!! my favorite player has started blogging again!! get better Lack! I miss seeing you out there! this is going to be a great season! we are kicking butt and really working well together which is awesome! Go Angels!! :-)

Yo Lackey! I'm a Mariners fan but love watching you pitch. I am a little sore that you didn't win the Cy Young last year, ( east coast bias) that cost me twenty bucks. I have all the confidence in the world that you will come back healthy and start mowing down hitters like a giant John Deer. Go get em Shmindrick! (Jeter commercial)

Hi John, It was so much fun seeing you pitch in Lancaster. It was nice not having to fight thousands of people just to see you. Your always welcome to come and party on our boat in Dana Point. Donna and Ste

John, I just wanted to say "Hi," and I think you are the best looking guy ever!!! Hope you are doing well, I miss you more than Leah.
