Former nemesis

ATL once again, my friend. I can't shake these cats. Today I faced the Braves for the 100th time in my short career, and it was a good game like always. Mr. "300" was on the mound for them today and he pitched like himself. When u face a team like that u just try to go out there and have fun. Bobby Cox does a great job of gettin those guys ready to play hard everyday so I feel it makes me better when guys step up and play hard in spring.

your boy

Glad to see your doing well Dontrelle. Your not going to have to worry about the Braves that much anytime soon unless you play them in interleague. Good luck this year and I can't wait for the season to start!

It's good to hear players are going out there busting their tales this spring. A good sign indeed!

Down and dirty today, d!!!!

Dontrelle keep doing what your doing and you'll be solid! You hear about all the madness with Alameda schools maybe having to cut their sports programs? I sent you a short message on it but it looks like baseball at Encinal will be OK. Keep reppin' the A and the Bay!!!!

now that your in the AL........it will suck because you don't get to hit.

Great job Dontrelle! Great matchups are what make sports fun.

Whats the mood like on the team in pre-season? Everyone must be pumped to watch that offense take off! Bye Bye AL East...

Good to see a good outing from you yesterday Dontrelle - glad to see you have a good time but also glad our Braves could pull it out in the end.

I keep hearing all this talk in the NL East about the Phillies this, and the Mets that.....I think everyone is sleeping on just how good the Braves line up looks this year.

Glad to see that you are out of Florida for your sake, and for the fact that now I can wholeheartedly root for you (couldn't before as a Braves fan). You are one of the delights to watch play the game. Too bad you won't get to hit regularly in the AL.

bobby cox an old shit-kicker from way back n his team reflects that..................man u honest obut not being able to sheke em.............keep fightin u will get em............u always do

Also...pace yourself this year and pitch all 9 innings, cus the bull pen is weak. -MrBest7

Your Nike Dunks signature shoe looks great. It'll be cool if you can show us a pic of yourself wearing them. I cannot find a picture of you wearing them online. Thanks

Dontrelle best of luck to you this year. I really enjoyed your time in Florida watching you grow as a piticher....keep up the the good work.

Dontrelle I really enhoyed you pitching in Florida and watching you grow..keep up the good work.

Dontrelle, heard the interview on KNBR you did with the Razor & Mr. T. Great job stepping up and donating to help save sports in the Alameda schools. Man, it would be hella crazy having no high school sports in town. Anyhow, your a class act all the way!

It seems like Bobby Cox has been there for 100 years

Your smile is THE BEST. Those Detroit unis are good lookin', huh?

I agree, he has the nicest smile I have ever seen. :)

hey I really like this site take care
joyce Guy mom's

Heard you on KNBR the other day with Tom and Ralph. Great interview. Hope things are going well with the new team!

I just wanted to say, "THANK YOU!" for your pledge to Alameda & Encinal High. Both of my boys (10th & 12th grades) are currently starters on the AHS Varsity Volleyball team. They also play varsity BBall and Football. They will personally benefit from your random act of kindness and as a parent, I am truly grateful for your contribution. Your mamacita did a great job (we helped Sheila celebrate her Big 50 birthday in December) and I got nothing but love for you both. Ciao!

D-Nice, I don't want to put any pressure on you, but I just took you in my Fantasy Baseball Draft. I am telling people you'll bring me 20+ wins and an ERA around 3.00, help me look like a genius.

Da_Ruler,
Go easy on "Big D", after all he's just entering into the American league for the first time. Almost every pitcher has a transitional learning curve. I don't want the Tigers to be like the Yankee's… where they put all kinds of pressure on their players. The pressure makes the Yankee's under-perform. Anyway...Good luck in your fantasy league.

To fantasy owners like Da_Ruler,
Tigers won't hit their stride until the second half of the season. You can't change so many key positions at the major league level without some sort of transition. On the positive side, the players they acquired are very good team-mates. That fact alone will help the team make the transition faster.

If the Tigers are within 3 or 4 games of the White Sox and Indians at the All-Star game, then we will be in a decent position.

Whats up D, I guessing you have already heard that new Rick Ross just released. the song Luxaury Tax is fire.

MrBest, you should work for ESPN because you're an expert at telling people what they already know.

Relax Ruler, if you're expecting 20 wins from "D" you're kidding yourself. If "D" gives us 12 wins I'll be happy. If he wins more than 15 games I'll apologize to you and "D". Prove me wrong "D"!

ask D if he'll be happy with 12 wins this year....

Ruler, I predict Dontrelle will win 12 games despite the weak bullpen. Dontrelle knows how hard it is to win 20 games. I'm concerned about Chicago...their entire team practically bats right handed, and they have a lot of power batters. Dontrelle will be on WGN in the afternoon on Friday. I think Dontrelle would matchup better against the KC Royals.

Ok...I predicted that the Tigers would struggle in the first part of the year. But let me also say...the Tigers will win the Central. At 0-7, they're only 5 games back , and only 4 games back from the Indians. The key to the success of the Tigers will come from Kansas City! The Indians and White Sox will not jump to a large lead, because KC is a much better team.

Dontrelle did a great job in his first game as a Tiger. Although many experts would disagree with me, the American League has a different strike zone than the National League. Shoot! Every ump has a different interpretation of the strikezone. This fact alone affects all players switching leagues. all of the new players are from the National League.

Dontrelle walked too many batters, but Swisher from the White Sox has the best eye in baseball.
I was worried about the right handed firepower the White Sox can throw at a lefty like Dontrelle. But, Dontrelle did great!

I predict Porcello will be called up to pitch in a middle relief role....very soon.

The Tigers are now 2 and 10. There's no need to panic, the Tigers are only 3 games away from Cleveland, and 5.5 games from Chicago. Tigers can't hit a broad side of a barn right now. Give the Tigers another month before you start judging them. Get well soon Dontrelle, the hardest job is watching from the disabled list. Injuries are just part of the game. -MrBest7

Analyzing Dontrelle Willis in Oakland

My Dad was a pitcher when he was in high school, and maybe could have pitched in college. My dad noticed that Dontrelle Willis' right foot is pointing toward the visiting dugout when he releases the ball. Then points his right foot toward the plate after the ball reaches home plate. The problem is that his weight is already on his right knee…so when he shifts his right foot toward the plate…his right knee gets twisted. As the pain gets worse…his delivery changes to compensate….hence his hop after delivery.

This is exactly why he hurt himself on the wet pitchers mound in Chicago. The right plant foot is the key to his accuracy and comfort on the mound.

On a side note....Dontrelle....Your mom is nice looking....I thought she was your sister! -MrBest7

I don't know what's funnier, dontrelle.. your era or the fact that you dropped off the face of the earth. well, i'll take both.

You fell off faster than Scott Podsednik you big lipped NlG.

Dude man u suck
