Obviously, the Mets are in disarray, and as it is already the halfway point of the season, it would take a lot of direction to get them back in order. Yet from where I sit, near the St. Louis Arch, I see how frustrating it would be for players and fans alike, because there is enough talent there for a really solid ball club. It seems as if the Mets' organization needs to take stock of all non-player staff, top to bottom, because if that isn't in order, things will turn out just like your article says in regards to coaching and management. And although I like Randolph well enough, it doesn't matter who is at the helm if the entire staff isn't on the same page. I write a Redbirds blog, so I know it's up to the Cards to exploit any shortcomings the Mets have. And the Mets may very well win this series yet. I just think the Mets players and fans have been somewhat cheated so far this year, and will have to overcome a lot to get back into the hunt.
Posted this on your blog, plus, got you on Topix News- Major League Baseball. This article was really on target, well said, and fair, but not because I say. I believe others will agree.
