Julio Franco Calls it Quits
After many, many, many, many years - 49 year old (or 50, or 53, or 46) Julio Franco finally calls it quits and retires. Not much to say about the guy, except that his consistent production was simply amazing.
Interesting Fact about Julio: As of 2006, Julio Franco was the only active player to face a pitcher (Jim Kaat) who had pitched against Ted Williams.
