Look at that, Blanton didn't lose!

Jeff Blanton did about as well as anyone could reasonably hope. He didn't pick up a loss. And while Santana was able to cripple our lineup, both starters became inconsequential due to a laughable performance by David Wright and the Mets bullpen in the ninth inning. The win felt great but it is unclear what, if any, contribution Blanton made towards the victory. There should be some concern about the long fly balls he gave up, though. In the matchbox that is Citizens Bank Park will we see him giving up home runs at a Myers-esque pace? Probably. Still, a win's a win. Even if it is doesn't get credited to the starter.
