Yeah, I probably have a case of SPS with him but the kid looked good today...and that throw to nail the runner at home in the 10th was something else!

I've had Pie on my minor roster for about two years now. He's ready for The Show, but he's about two seasons away from being worth a starter slot. Don't get fooled by the SPS...Pie won't beat out Jacque Jones quite yet.

I think I could beat out Mr. Jones about now....it just a matter of dumping his $5 mil salary!!

Oh no! Don't remind me of Corey Patterson. With the Cubs luck, he'll probably tear his ACL falling in the shower and he would be similar to an old Ken Griffey Jr. or a position player version of Kerry Wood or Mark Prior. If he's as good as he looked yesterday, I'd start him over Jones anyday. The Cubs could be dangerous in a few years with Pie, Soriano, Ryan Theriot, Zambrano (if he re-signs), Rich Hill and I'm sure the Cubs new high-spending ways weren't just for this offseason. I can see some more pretty big signings in the future.
