What's up yall?

Hey everyone, this is Jay Bruce, coming to you from the airport in San Francisco, CA where I just finished getting my yardbarker profile ready to go. I'm really excited to be involved with this site because it will give everyone a chance to get to know a little more about me, not just the baseball I play. This site has some really cool stuff on it, and I'm excited about being a fan as well. Hopefully yall will enjoy what I have to talk about haha. I'll be sure to keep it as interesting as possible. Everyone feel free to ask some questions, and I will be sure to get back to yall ASAP. Check my site out every once in a while, because the next few weeks will call for some pretty interesting posts.

Until then......Jay

Thanks for doing this Jay

Looking forward to another update

Hey Jay welcome to the yard I think you become an elite player in few years. Stay healthy this offseason and enjoy your time off

sorry about the grammer error I meant to say that you will become instead of what I earlier posted.

Thanks for having me guys.....Haha and dont worry about the grammar mann....its all good..

Welcome to the Yard, Jay.

Thanks dude

What's the toughest adjustment to life in the majors (besides the fact that the competition is tougher)?

Well, dude so far I would have to say its been the long seasons, tough travel, and crazy schedule that we are on. Yeah, obviously the competition is better, but its still baseball. I think the main focus of a player becomes to take care of his body as far as eating right, and getting proper rest(which is really hard to do because of travel), because you really see the benefits later on in the season.

Sup man...i went to kingwood

Nice man, Im good friends with Johnny Whittleman.

Yea I was the year under him, but never really got to know him that well. I threw batting practice for you, whittleman, jorgensen, and some other guy when you all came and practiced with us. It was tight seeing you guys in the futures game.

Josh Hamilton is gone.

The path is now clear for you to dominate the big leagues. :)

haha, we will see man(see "still gotta earn it!" post).

Welcome to the yard, Jay. What happens when you and Chad Billingsley face each other for the first time? Do you have any smacktalk lined up for your fellow Yardbarker blogger?

No smacktalk at all....Actions speak louder than words. I'm looking forward to it tho...for sure.

I saw you play a few times for the dragons...thought i was going to see you and justin upton on the same field, but he was hurt for the series i was at -- but, got to see you showcase, so it was cool.

hopefully those chilly spring days in dayton and around the midwest league prepared you for playing ball here in the midwest -- i'm sure quite a change from texas, huh? speaking of texas...has it helped at all, as far as getting adjusted to pro ball when you were first drafted, having homer bailey as a fellow texan and #1 pick of the Reds just a year prior to you?

anyways, welcome again...and best of luck! good to have you on here!

here's one of the pics i snapped at one of the dragons games.

As much as I respected Josh for his faith and his turn around, I really can't wait to see you play. I certainly hope to see you electrify Great American for years to come. Help bring the Reds back to greatness!

Good luck Jay, learn all you can from Mr. Griffey.

Hey man! Thanks for joining some fellow fans! Always nice to be able to communicate with the players we all see and love or players like you ones that we all look forward to be able to put forth their talent! Heres to great years ahead and being glad their in a Reds uniform!

I look forward to your posts.

whats up Jay? -- just curious as to what number you want to wear in the bigs? Do you think you can handle centerfield or do you prefer the corners? -- best of luck to yuo and I really appreciate the person that you seem to be as well -- someone my 10 yr old son can look up to -- later

Hey Jay...only like 105 days til Opening Day...not that I'm counting...anyways, what's your favorite college team?

How many Home runs are you gonna hit this year Jay? 45 + ????

Jay Bruce! Or should I say Stephanie? haha. This is the four guys from the norfolk tides game writing to say we are glad to see you are tearing it up in your first 5 games. 11 for 19 with a walkoff already -- impressive. Also, we need to know where to mail your 40 bucks... The Reds come into Washington DC on August 1st so you better believe we are driving up there to hassle you some more.
