The Yankees can only consider Bonds if he agrees to go to the minors 1st and prove that he can still hit. You can not take a risk like that unless he will perform well enough for Yankee fans to boo him before his 1st at bat and then cheer him after he hits the 3rd pitch of that at bat off the wall. If he still makes pitchers fear his power he will get an enormous amount of strikes for the rest of the team. I also assume he will come cheap or at the very least an incentive laced contract and the beauty is you give up nothing. The Bronx will make or break a player. EXAMPLES--Giambi (Forgiven), Maris (not), AROD (Forgiven until October anyway!)
