'Arson Judge' references flood Yankees-Giants opener

Baseball fans attending the Opening Day game between the San Francisco Giants and New York Yankees in the Bronx commemorated one of the more humorous developments of this past offseason.

On Thursday afternoon, multiple individuals were spotted rocking No. 99 Aaron Judge Giants jerseys with the name "Arson" on the back at Yankee Stadium:

Meanwhile, a group in the bleachers paid "homage" to the original infamous tweet sent by MLB insider Jon Heyman back on Dec. 6:

Judge was a free agent at the time when Heyman sent shockwaves throughout the MLB community by tweeting that "Arson Judge appears headed to" the Giants. While the reigning American League Most Valuable Player reportedly was considering signing with San Francisco and grew up a fan of the club as a native of Linden, California, he ultimately returned to the Yankees via a nine-year contract worth $360M.

Yankees ace Gerrit Cole admitted last month he "was sweating it for a little bit there" following the initial Heyman tweet. Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford, Cole's brother-in-law, previously informed the right-hander that Judge's meeting with San Francisco "went well."

Giants Opening Day starting pitcher Logan Webb later insisted he was "happy" that Judge "got that big contract" but said this week that his club missing out on the four-time All-Star selection "sucked."

On Thursday afternoon, Judge made re-signing with the Yankees "suck" for Webb and the Giants just a little more:

All Rise, indeed.
