Baron Davis still has love for the Bay

Hollywood Boom Dizzle Davis yesterday spent about 90 minutes in Oakland speaking with kids from the Boys & Girls Club. Here's a photo of Baron doing his thing. Since the Yardbarker World Headquarters is only a few minutes away from the Boys & Girls Club, we stopped by and filmed some video for the Yard. Baron will probably post that up sometime in the next week or so. Big ups to Baron for being a positive influence in the community, and for sharing that experience with the Yard.

I have the same pair. I admittedly was a bit excited when I saw Baron wearing them. I'm seeing him again on Friday, and 1/2 of me wants to rock those Reeboks, but how dorky would that be?

No doubt. I saw Baron again today. Where? Another charity event. The guy is all heart. If you want to be pissed about him going to the Clippers, turn your ire toward the organization. I was speaking with one of Nellie's friends tonight, and Nellie is broken up over Baron leaving. He'll be missed, and the Bay's loss is LA's gain. The Warriors will be OK, though. Some solid talent still left. Monta is the future.

BD is the man. I don't care who he is playing for. I met him in Charlotte back in the day, and ever since, I knew he was a good dude. You my man Baron keep up the good work and I wish you all the success in LA.

Last night I saw Baron at an event for the TeamPlay Foundation, which is a foundation he started to empower kids and connect them with mentors. It's technology-based, which is great because it allows mentors to stay in touch with kids regardless of where they are. Anyway, Baron made it a point to say that no matter where he is playing, that HIS FOUNDATION WILL ALWAYS REMAIN IN THE BAY. He said he wouldn't think of moving it out of the Bay after all the love the Bay has given him.

I think the majority of people that commented on this thread have not had anything bad to say about him as a person. I know they all were sad to see him go - but I haven't seen any of them hating on him.
