Blazers mind games begin

Its on now, other teams should be ready for the Pritchslap. He is ready to fleece your team.

Did I mention its DRAFT NIGHT!!! The most exciting time of the year for me, especially since we have the best GM in the game. I have never seen more rumors surrounding one team, and that means Kevin Pritchard's mind games have begun.

Their are about 12 different trade rumors going on right now that some how factor in the Blazers. Its ridiculous to even try to keep up. I expect to be "Shocked & Awed" by what happens tonight with the Blazers.

The newest rumor has been surrounding New Jersey giving up their number 10 spot to the Blazers. Here is a quote from this mornings podcast from the Blazers beat writer Jason Quick.

LOL Pritchslapped, I LOVE IT.

The trade talk I've heard most of is the LB/Webster deal. I'm not really sure how I feel about it but I do know that tonight should be interesting. You'll be at the Garden, yea?

KP is the man. Best in the League, INCLUDING Ainge.

No garden for me. I wish. I sadly will be watching it at home.

Now I am telling you all, I have heard whispers from sources that HUGE things are going to be done with the Blazers. HUGE! You know that guy Derrick Rose??

Look at it like this. Blazers get the 5th pick from Memphis, for Jack, Raef, and Martell, and they give them the 27th and 33rd. Then the Blazers turn around and offer the 5-13 pick to Chicago and another asset for number 1!!!

THINK BIG PEOPLE! BIG!

The Rumors wont stop. GOD I LOVE DRAFT NIGHT!

LOL. This was a funny draft, so many rumors and so little movement. Obviously we will see a lot more in the coming days.

Indiana, how does it feel to be fleeced? Bayless was projected 4-5, incredible pick, we got rid of who we wanted to get rid of, Jarrett Jack, McRob, and Rush seemed like a good fit, but Bayless is much better move. He is our new point guard.

And Darrell Arthur has already been traded for Nicholas Batum. Which I think is dumb, and we got JOEY DORSEY, who I love. I am a huge memphis fan, so I am glad we picked him up. I have no idea why they did not pick up CDR though.

Thats a big shocker for me, that CDR went 40th.

Overall pretty cool night. But a lot of things are going to change in the next couple of days.

The Blazers did really well, again. Sad to see Jack and McRoberts go, but Bayless will be great. I find it crazy that we managed to grab Darrell Arthur, and I'm pretty bummed to see that we traded him.

Too bad you couldn't make it to the Garden, it was pretty entertaining. Maybe next year. :-)

Oh! Dorsey, I temporarily forgot. We're keeping him...right? We better, I'm with ya...LOVE this guy!

No it actually does not look that way. I would not get comfortable with anyone yet, even bayless. There are already trades going on with memphis and the timberwolves, OJ Mayo for Lova, and obviously other assets, we will see Beasley in Memphis and OJ Mayo in Miami by next week. I still think the Blazers want augustine, so we might see some more moves.

People don't seem to realize Portland basically got the 4th pick this years, that is amazing. Bayless could be the 3rd or 4th best PG in this draft. We had to trade Arthur and Dorsey to get the guy we really wanted and that was Batum. It was a good trade in the sense that we only have 14 roster spots, and this makes it much easier to clear room for Rudy Fernandez. Great draft night, KP did it again.

Do I dare say I sitll want Augustine? I guess I can hold out another year for Cp3

I still want DJ too. You should have heard the Blazer crowd when the Bobcats drafted him at the #9 spot. Such a tease that he lasted that long because Mike & Mike were all talking about how if he just held out to the #10 pick, we would have a legit chance at him.

Of course Paul would be really nice ...and also very unlikely. I say Portland needs to go after Augustine.

we got bayless

Okay I am happy, it just took a little while to sink in. Cant wait from the summer league, and training camp.

Watching some of Bayless high lights he reminds me of Deron Williams, and I'm more of a Chris Paul guy myself. Augustin is no Chris Paul but I think he could become a better shooter than Paul. Bayless will straight up dunk it when he has a drive to the rim, much like Deron, and he has a similar stroke.
