Denver Should Trade Nene For Ron Artest

Nene has come into camp the last 2 years overweight, he's a constant injury concern, and he's going to be out for at least another 6 weeks. Ron Artest can make an immediate impact in Denver. The Nuggets desperately need defense, and Artest is a lock-down defender that also provides rebounding and some outside shooting. With Artest, Anthony, A.I., K-Mart, and Marcus Camby, the Nuggets are FIERCE.

you havent seen nene @ FIBA huh? he shows alot of potential while ron is just stacked with problems.

I see Nene's potential, but I see a Nuggets team that has one or maybe two years before they've got no chance at a title. AI and Camby make that team dangerous, and they're both gone by the end of next season. If Boston has shown us anything, it's that making a trade to make a team good now isn't always a bad idea.

By the way AI is going to opt out of his contract at the end of this year and sign a 6 year deal.

Nene is a problem on the court is does his best night in and night out. Allen Iverson and Marcus Camby are not going anywhere and it the team does what they have to do than they can make it.

Ron Artest would not be a good look for Denver because Ron likes to start trouble and the nuggets don't need it

No doubt that trading for Artest has it's risks, but imagine the potential -- that team would be easily the most talented in the west and would rival Boston in terms of talent and ability.

I agree. Though Ron is a bit of a Thug, he provides some serious "D". If the Nuggets can put up with J.R. Smith, they can handle Ron Artest...Ron is a 6'7 2 Guard with the skills to defend the best 3's in the league. Nene doesn't have the right head-set - but trading him puts the Nuggets at a disadvantage when it comes to the playoffs because you can't find too many big men with his skillz. Decision: Keep Nene

Why the hell would Sacramento trade for Nênê? He's garbage, and more players would have to be packaged to entice Sacramento to sent Artest to the Nuggets.

What about Nênê and JR Smith for Artest?

Sure Denver needs a defensive-minded player to give them some teeth, but is Artest really the right guy to do it? The Nuggs already lack team chemistry and are full of egos, getting Artest would just exaggerate the problem. How far can a little more D go without the chemistry. At least Nene is a team player, and once he's healthy has tremendous upside. This year he actually came in underweight, in-shape, and you can see his potential to dominate other centers in the post, Tim Duncan was getting handled last year, hard to deny him....

the nuggets need defense on the perimeter and that will be good for playoffs just in case you face the people like kobe and mcgrady and that will help there rebounds because camby will not have to come over all the time and help other defender and he can just get rebounds
