I have no problem with ballers who "partake" but the problem is that many times they just do the "take" part. I agree that many have a sense of entitlement that makes them feel that they can use their celebrity to get what they want (free weed, sex, etc) without realizing the consequences of their actions. Too many shady things go on behind closed doors that are covered up or ignored because they think they can just get away with it. I applaud Mr. Howard for admitting that he smokes once in a while. At least HE is honest. The others have to go around waiting an wondering if and when things will get ugly for them.

Ok... I get it he smokes, but why did he have to say that other players do it too? That was just stupid! If you want to take yourself down by all means go ahead, but to take others with you is just wrong!

Oooh, drifty, you hit the nail on the head with the "take" part! Nice reading between the lines (LOL)...and lovefusion I agree that he shouldnt take others down, but I dont know if he named anyone elde(?) plus, like I said before, we already know ballers love thier weed.....

u got bigger issues to deal with and josh just gave some more. and btw how could killin brain cells and infesting your lungs with carcinogens not affect your health/game as he said???

Guess you aint a 420 fan? Maybe if you're burning through a zip a day you could do some long term damage, but weed doesnt "infest" lungs with anything but peace. And yeah, I do have bigger issues-like why is alcohol legal while drunk drivers kill more people than those who sit home, chill, smoke and play video games- and if you've ever seen someone drive while high-trust me-they aint speeding and swerving like a drunk. Im not gonna give you a sermon on the pro's and cons of smoking weed, I was simply happy that Howard spoke the truth-and by the way-if you're a fan of basketball, count the number of players who smoke weed-actually, it might be easier to count the number of players who dont smoke weed- and I bet ya ten-to-one, most of the tokers are busy ripping it up in the playoffs right now.

your blog aint bout drinkin n drivin is bout josh and his illegal drig activities. apparently u havent been to a dr. recently either. smokin anything aint healthy for the body, ask kobe n lebron. show me a weed smoker that has a ring. and fyi ive been known to hit the chronic from time to time

Classic. This is exactly why I adore you, Annt.

Come on, we all know smoking is bad for ya, I dont need a doctor for that. And I wouldnt ask Kobe or LeBron anything that required an honest answer about off court behavior. Hmmm, weed smokers with rings? One word for ya. Pistons.

My only issue was him calling out other players for smoking weed. It's okay to admit that you made a mistake, but don't throw everyone else under the bus too...That was a weak move, Josh...

And why admit that now, during the playoffs?? Not the ideal time for confessions.

I'm with Safiya about the timing. Why now? Why at all? Seems Josh's problem here isn't really smokin' weed, it's an inability to keep his mouth shut. For the record, I don't need (or want) to know that much about him. Seriously. Smoke your weed, and keep it to yourself!

Right on! I really don't have a problem with Josh Howard smoking weed, tooting some white powder up his nose or doing a gang bang. I wish he had the common sense not to discuss his personal hobbies/lifestyle with the public while he's still engaged in his professional life as a basketball player - his biggest problem is keeping his jaws from flapping.

He didnt specifically name anyone? And are you really surprised that ballers smoke weed? Agreed, it was very bad timing to say this kind of thing during the playoffs. If he said this during the off season we most likely wouldnt have even heard about it.

I agree it was bad timing but dont discredit him from being honest. Of course its not the right the to be doing to your body either but he admits it. I also thought that was a weak move of him to say that alot of other players smoke the weed to. I dont really see nothin to wrong if they did, but he shouldnt have to admit it for them. If they want people to know, theyll let the public know on their own time. The NBA does inform the pulic when a player fails 3 drug test, some of you might have already known that but it was just an FYI.
