Lebron Jordan?

The playoffs have been very exciting to watch this year; the West has been the most fun whereas the East very surprisingly is competitive as well.

Tonight Lebron James and his Cavs will play K.G and the Celts in a must win Game 6.

Lets step away from all that and look at this real quick, the Celtics are very good and so are the Pistons of Detroit, a young superstar who can rack em up by himself is the real star of his conference leading a franchise that hasn't really won anything sound familiar?

Our boy Mike did it way back when and struggled without a real number two guy....... while Lebron has already gone to the Finals and had the experience.

To me its kind of eerie how the best teams in the league are the same as when Michael started out his quest for a championship. While some may point out the Celts weren't very good until this year I agree but this is now. If Lebron James can win tonight and send the series back to Boston and win a Game 7 things will get very interesting for this young man. His whole approach and to game is dare I say very Jordan-esque.....

Obviously you can tell I'm pulling for Lebron and his Cavs.

Enjoy tonight's games

LeBron and MJ shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence unless the sentence is "LeBron needs to stop trying to be like Michael Jordan because he'll NEVER reach that level". Sorry, but "BeBron Jordan?" I don't think so....never.

Your right. He can't be mentioned in the same sentence because He's better than MJ. He's done more by the age of 24 then Mike did in the league. Look at his roster full of retreds and NBA cast-offs. Imagine if he had a Scottie Pippenish player to help him. No offense to Big Z.

lebron doesnt wanna be jordan...he wants to be better than jordan

I am a life time Celts fan going back to the 70's and have seen the best of the best over the last 40 years. I think Lebron is the real deal. Why don't you wait until Lebron's NBA career is over and see if he has the same impact on the game as MJ , Bird , Magic, Hondo, Kareem............You're wasting your time comparing Lebron when his ancient NBA career is .......what.....4 years old. You don't think so.....but you definitely don't know so!

Lebron just needs 1 or 2 veterans around him and he'll be fine Gibson just needs to step up on deffense he's already good. But yea I can't put him in the same sentence as MJ's yet but he has the heart.

MJ never got a scoring title then went what was it somthing like 2/20 in tre first 2 games of a 7 game series......Kobe Bryant reminds me more of MJ than LBJ, jumpers r on a rope for example as opposed to JBJ clankin em off the back of the rim......plus when is LBJ gonna get that fire in his eye or that chip on his shoulder

I believe the fire started when he scored 24 in a row to upset the Pistons last year....at age 23.

then got swept in the Finals, dont get me wrong I like LBJ, u too easy 24 points and east conf finals aint enuff, show me the rings

LeBron is really good, but he's been so annoying in these playoffs. No one's doubting his skill or his leadership, but he's been so whiny about fouls he thinks he should get. He's doing a great job with a terrible supporting cast, but if he has a weakness, it's arrogance and being upset about getting things he doesn't deserve.

I dont know Lebron is really young... and Might go down as the one of the top 5 players in Nba history....He was Drafted at 18... Trust me he will win a championship one year.

CORNY TITLE

Lebrizzy is gonna be remembered as a great player when its all said and done but as of right ow it is not even fair to compare him to Jordan....... Jordan is JORDAN and Lebron is gonna be and wants to be LEBRON!!!!!!

lebron gives his teammates no recognition (not that they quite deserve much, but still). all this talk of "lebron's team"...jordan never did that. lebron's body size really gives him a huge advantage and I sometimes I think it's that over his talent that gets him all the finishes that he does. jordan had pure skill and was much more of a team player than lebron has ever and will ever be. If there's anyone who should be compared to Jordan it's Kobe.
Yep...i said it....don't pretend it's not true.

I agree wit the kobe to M.J comparison

So averaging 7 assits isn;t being a team player? Try being Kobe the last couple of seasons, averaging 45 and 3 its when only this year when the grizzlies gave pau gasol to the lakers he started passing more.

physically, Lebron is right up there, probably even better with his height, build and athleticism. mentally, not even close. but if he worked on it like Jordan did he can be as good as he wants to be.

but right now, nobody is as good as Jordan, sorry not even Kobe. his teammates are better, not him. Gasol is more of the MVP on that team if you consider why they are winning.

i'll agree with MGabriel..... mentally he's not even close to what Jordan was no is..... and yeah can everyone in the world stop acting like you've never heard of Pau Gasol the man led a 50 win team just a few years ago he is a legit star in the league not some role player that they just got.......... and Odom is an all-star too before LA the man has basically been a double double guy since he came into the league... as for Lebron he stil has a ways to come, he needs a better jump shot and needs to learn not to get stuck in the air and not know what to do...

exactly, if I'm not mistaken, Gasol even beat our beloved country's Team USA when Spain beat us.. =P' hmmm...gee I wonder what the Common Denominator is?? ;D

Worked like Jordan did? At 24 MJ wasn't working any harder than Bron. The kid has been playing year round since he was 15. Even after the Cavs were eliminated last year he heads right out to play for team USA. The guy takes no time off. He's constantly improving. Wait until hit actually hits his "prime" in 3 years!! Does anyone think his jumper can do anything BUT get better?? Same goes for his post up game. The entire NBA is going to have to worry about stopping LeBron from being in the finals for the next 10 years...

when I say worked, I don't simply mean work out... or anything like that, because obviously Lebron works hard to get that physique. what I AM talking about is working on his game.

For Jordan, when they said he couldn't defend, he worked on it and was voted onto the All-Defensive Team, when they said he only dunks and couldn't shoot, he worked on his jumper and became one of the best jump shooters whether it be straight up, fading away, twisting turning, double-pumping with 2 seconds left you name it, he did it, over and over again. hell when they said he dunked on a small guy he came back and dunked on a 7 footer, and so on and so forth.

All I'm saying is, Lebron is not quite up there with Jordan, his game is not yet complete, you're right, he might get there, but it is up to him though because currently he is not. Not everybody has that instinct that MJ did, but the very fact that Lebron idolized MJ growing up says a lot. It means he has the desire to become like Mike.

that jumper in no where near MJ's

I agree that Kobe is the only one who can even be compared, but he is small in Jordan's shadow. The man played so well and made his team better. We can only say that of Kobe as of late. Jordan mastered every situation and I have no doubt about that. He gave credit where credit was due. He played well with other great players and made them better. He won and won a lot. Kobe is amazing, but not Jordan. I wish everyone would drop the Jordan talk. Lebron can't even be mention near Kobe or Jordan. The man plays well, but lacks in so many areas. He is young and will improve, but he is not Jordan and NEVER will be.

Not sure about Jordan yet but bron is a BEAST

come on....who didn't idolize jodan growing up!? everyone wanted to be like mike. i dont think it says much about lebron's character that he wants to be like jordan.

I totally agree that Kobe couldn't be compared to Jordan until recently- his attitude change and maturity this past season has made him finally become the player that deserves to be in the same sentence as jordan.

Jordan also hadden Pippen, Grant and rodman... I mean pippen was an allstar as well as rodman... I don't think Lebron has ever been paired with an allstar in the same season.

wrong. look it up buddy. he's not the only good player on his team. his center is pretty dang good as well.

Aww come on... You have got to be kidding me... You would rather have clevlands center the pippen or rod man.. Please

That's not what I said. Are you able to read. Stating that he has a good center doesn't mean I would rather have him.
