Little Earl a Nugget No Longer

I guess with the signing of Iverson the Nuggets lost their need for players under 5' 8. Boykins and former NC State Wolfpack member Julius Hodge were dealt today to the Bucks for former Terp Steve Blake. Appears the Nuggets were after a pass first point guard after trading Andre Miller.

There are many reasons why I'll never be an NBA GM, but this is one: there's no way I'd trade Earl Boykins AND another player for Steve Blake. I mean, would this deal even be approved in NBA Live? Blake's not a bad player, but every time I see Boykins on tv, he drops 30 on like 65% shooting.

I guess the Nuggets are looking to get a traditional point guard after losing Andre Miller in the Iverson deal, but to give up Boyking, Hodge AND cash seems pretty outrageous. Blake averaged 3.6 ppg and 2.5 apg, compared to Boykins' 15.2 ppg and and 4.3 apg. Looks like the Nuggets are desperate to get some luxury tax relief.

Where was Boykins in the DENVER-NY Knicks fight? Wouldn't you love to see Earl and little Nate trading jabs?
