y doesnt melo use his size and strenght to crash the boards, block shots, and be a menace in the paint???

One would think he could put it together with that kind of talent.

Finally being able to watch one of the Nuggets Game's Live I am extremely frustrated and actually regret watching it because I had to endure Kobe's Headshake and a couple more new moves that reminded me of Reggie Miller somehow.
Anyway, I would like everybody's your thoughts on these 2 posts:
1. How to Defend the Lakers - why haven't the Nugget's Analysts / Coaching Staff / Players figured this out?2. History dictates that the Nuggets are done
Am I off base on these or do you guys see it too?

omg dude i know! im a huge Nuggz fan and its really hard 2 watch,hopefully they will get a least one win a home...

Kobe is the man...reminds me sooo much of Jordan, unreal. I really don't think it's Karl, the guys just don't wanna commit to the D....it's frustrating. Kmart has finally been healthy...which is good to see, since we paid him WAAAAY too much $$. It's all about D...I don't know how, but #1 priority is shutting down Kobe, then not allowing any inside shots in the paint. I'm a HUGE Nuggs fan and I'm sick and tired of being one and done. I think we have to keep Melo and AI together....thoughts???

We need to keep both those guys but you are right, way too much 1 on 1, which means, when they are on, beautiful, when they are off, fugly as hell. I always said that those guys should be doing some pick and roll and other set plays like that but it seems as though they don't want to. If the coach made them do it then they would do it, that is why I think ultimately it comes down to coaching. They wouldn't be lost on defense either if they new how to defend the Lakers FAKE & PASS OR DRIVE & PASS until they find the open man.

I really think the Nuggets could have gotten 60 wins and past the first round of the playoffs if they had a genius like Phil Jackson running the show.

If we had any DEFENSE, we would be really good. Even the announcers were saying that there isn't even the slightest bit of resistance when the Lakers drive to the bucket. We've seen it pretty much all year. At some point, we have to revamp the D. After all, you can't score 168 every game.

but if we get rid of Karl....who do we get? Who's out there...no one except Larry Brown, you want to reunite AI and Brown?

If I were the owners of the team, I would start interviewing coaches, see what they say about the team. If they see how much potential there is and what needs to be fixed, especially if this coach will knock some defensive sense into the players, no matter who they are, it should work better than Karl's Philosophy of "we don't even have to pass the ball that much, 1 or 2 passes is good.." He always preaches Defense but you never really see it.

Maybe they start looking at College coaches too? Not sure who else is out there but I'd hate to see this team go to waste on someone who just sits back and does nothing most of the time. Look, it took him 83 games to realize that he had a mismatch against teams like the Lakers with Kobe, and the Rockets with McGrady, it took me a couple. I already saw the Lakers FAKE & PASS or DRIVE & PASS until they HIT THE OPEN MAN Strategy already, they haven't.

Sad Stuff for the team and US FANS. =P'

Karl is a great coach...i think it comes down to that these players we have just are not comitted to the defensive end...no matter the coach. Karl knows what he's doing...he's done it before. I'm not a fan of firing Karl...nothing good will come of it.

You know, I do like George Karl. He is a good coach. However, I would like to see him show a little fire. Get upset and let the players know that you are not happy with the defense that they are not playing. It just doesn't matter to Karl. Either way, he just stand or sits there watching the game. You may have to get fired up and yell a little bit to get things done. Bottom line, WE NEED DEFENSE!!!!! We are getting to be the joke team of the NBA. All this talent and yet, we are not taken serious.

that is the problem, I see nothing from coach Karl. NOTHING. if the team is not doing what he says, he should be calling them out or at least showing some emotion. but NOTHING.

i didn't even watch any of the Nuggs game....watched the NFL Draft instead...nuggs are horrible, embarassing...heads are gonna roll
