Like I said orions, the writer who's reporting this rumour is known to pull garbage out of his arse. So, certainly take this with a grain of salt.

But what if the deal involved Rip and say Billups coming to Houston? Adding those two in place of McGrady and someone else I think certainly makes the Rockets a better team. Not to mention guys that have extensive playoff experience.

a deal like this would have to send billups and probley rodney stucky to the rockets which would make the pistons a worse team and the rockets a better team
not to mention t-mac has never won in the playoffs, i know his numbers are better in the playoffs than his regular season number but thats what they are just numbers, in the playoffs you have to find a way to win, and t-mac hasnt
and the talk that he doesnt have enough around him is not good either because that is a very good team he is playing for

Yeah, but it has been proven that T-Mac and Yao are not nearly as effective together as they are apart. So unless the Rockets want to continue to languish in mediocrity (outside of last year's win streak - which go tthem nowhere) and first-round eliminations, they have to do something, don't they?

If anyone is getting traded this off season it is Wallace. I have heard multiple places that Dumars is tired of Wallace and is shopping him. 76ers were considering getting him if thye didn't get Brand. Pistons are stupid if they trade their best player though. His contract is up after this season though.

Yeah, but for teams that are borderline championship contenders, his experience would definitely be an asset. The good thing about getting Sheed now is that if it doesn't work out its a $14 milliion dollar contract that comes off the books at the end of next season anyways. A win-win if you ask me. :)

I don't remember Rasheed doing very much in the playoffs. His teammates brought them as far as they went for the most part. In fact, he looked kind of spaced out much of the time. Just an observation. I don't know what to make of T-Mac. Too bad he doesn't seem to have the same fire that KG has and brought to the C's.

True, 32 teams would take him for the intangible you mention and a moodest pay cut, not that much, because we are talking about "the Sheed Man" here

HIghly unlikely that the Sixers could acquire Tmac and not give the Rockets Iggy in return. BUT, for hypothetical sakes, that team would be freakin' scary and definitely give the League's elite a run for their money. :(

Houston is currently asking for too much in return. Dumars has said repeatedly he won't make a move just to make a move. It has to be a square deal.

in order for their sixers to get tmac they would probably have to give either lou williams and a first for next year and jason smith or thaddues young and a first rounder and the sixers shoudlnt just trade away young stars like that lou and young
