Quick Thoughts On The Warriors Summer League

Well - got back yesterday & I can safely say that 4 days in Vegas is too much.

Just wanted to throw some thoughts out there for discussion...

CJ Watson looked pretty good. He was a total ball thief which was nice - I think he will make a mighty fine back up for whomever we get.

Brandan Wright is still looking like he has a lot of potential but the guy gets thrown around alot! He still needs to bulk up considerably - especially if the rumors about Harrington leaving are true.

Belinelli....what can I say about Belinelli? He played very nice - he was leading the team very well - he had 30 points. Lets just hope this carries over to the regular season to make up for some of what will be missing with Baron gone.

The question I still have is - what does everyone else think of Amundson? He looked like a nice option to fill in some space under the basket. If they do get rid of Harrington the Warriors will be looking very malnourished & need someone that can clear space for Monta to drive through. Plus they will also be lacking some eye candy if they don't match the Clips offer for Azubuike. He will fit this role very nicely. ;-)

I didn't get to see Randolph or Hendrix play which was kind of dissapointing - but there's always the regular season.

btw - Bayless....all I can say is - DAYUM Portland! He is my early pick for rookie of the year.

Haven't payed much attention to the Summer League, just the stats, and you're right on about Bayless. What's he averaging something like 27 PPG? The man is going to be great.

Rookie of the year?
He's got some competition you know...Oden, Beasley, Rose.
It's going to be a good season for rookies. I'm excited. (-:

you got to go to the summer league games hella cool i had to work :( But from the games I saw on warriors.com I really think that everybody has improved their game so I hope that alll their efforts carry over into the up coming season.... Also I really like Amundson I def think the W's should give him a chance!

I used the $$$ I saved on playoff tickets. lol ;)
It was fun, though. I reccomend going at least once. Tix are like 20 bucks (i think) for gen admission - but you can upgrade to courtside for 100. It's all rookies & space fillers - but it's nice to get an early look at the talent on your team & everyone elses.
Bayless alone was worth the price of admission. I think Portland is the team to watch this year. They are going to be good. Oden wasn't there though. That was kind of a bummer.

Man everyone as been talking about Bayless... Portland is gonna do damage this year they have have nice roster so if they dont go far something is very wrong! But im trying to go to Utah @ the end of the month to watch them there!

Is anybody else excited about marco?!? I myself have a pretty sweet stroke, so i can really admire marco's shootin stroke. Its a beauty. Can u say '08 - '09 3 point champion!?!
