exciting time pre-draft as alot of teams are talking, and one that is making the most noise is the Phoenix Suns. After last seasons attempt to change the face of this team Steve Kerr is still looking to get better on defense and reduce his cap hit, which means either Leandro Barbosa or Boris Diaw will likely get traded. I have looked far and wide and worked every contact to get all the scenario's currently being discussed as the Suns are fan favorites.
Also the Suns are looking to move up in the draft very badly as part of this package...
Scenario 1. Toronto Raptors, would send TJ Ford along with the 17th overall pick to Phoenix in exchange for Boris Diaw. As I mentioned on the Raptor rumour I don't see this happening, personally I don't believe Diaw will be the one to go but if he is it will be for more, TJ not known to be very good defensively and can fall in love with a bad shot from time to time; essentially he is much like Barbosa except more of a true PG.
Scenario 2. La Clippers, would send Corey Magette and the 7th pick overall likely Eric Gordon or Joe Alexander to Phoenix in exchange for Leandro Barbosa and the 15th pick. This is actually a nice trade for both teams, Magette wants out, Barbosa wants to start...
Scenario 3. New York Knicks, would send the 6th overall pick and players for either Barbosa or Diaw, this one really exists because D'antoni is in New York and both players were favorites of his. What isn't clear and what prevents any deal here is what to ship back to Phoenix in terms of players, other than David Lee whom Phoenix doesn't have a need for, they don't have many tradeable assets.
Scenario 4. Dark Horse, other players on the market that might appeal to the Suns include Richard Jefferson of the New Jersey Nets, Josh Howard of the Dallas Mavericks, Gerald Wallace of the Charlotte Bobcats and Tayshaun Prince of the Detroit Pistons.
