Parker has only appeared in 41 games over the last two seasons, including only three this year for the Sacramento Kings before getting waived last month.
In 288 career games, Parker is averaging 14.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 49.3% from the field and 32.3% from deep. However, he has struggled to live up to his potential after suffering a pair of ACL tears early in his career.
When the 26-year-old clears the NBA's health and safety protocols, he'll likely compete with Grant Williams and Semi Ojeleye for minutes behind Jayson Tatum.
The Celtics waived Moritz Wagner to make room for Parker on the roster.
